The Occupy * movement had a general strike yesterday. I didn't notice.

That begs me to ask the question. 99% of what?

There seemed to be nothing to notice, but, it was a personal "Buy a Box of Ammunition" day.

Yeah, I did that too. Completely coincidental, though, since I didn't hear about any of this until this morning.

a general strike
They went on Strike?

So, 99% didn't show up to NOT work?

Wonder what effect that will have on the economy, those non-workers not showing up to not work.
Or was it an un-strike (like an un-cola?) where they DID showed up to not work, but did?

:confused5 :headscratch :willynilly:

If they stay on strike, they are likely to be replaced ...

Maybe they refused to take handouts and burned their government checks in protest.

They claim to represent the 99%, so I guess that means I'm in another minority.

Aww, I feel left out. I almost bought a box of ammo today. I did, however, go over more gun safety with my daughter, so there was some firearm related stuff that went on yesterday.

The OWS types did some rioting (the lousy mainstream media called it protesting) in a few places such as Seattle and San Francisco. Many windows were busted and other property damaged. Nobody here noticed anything because as dumb as many of those OWS types are, they aren't dumb enough to start a riot where folks are legally able to defend their selves and their property. I'd guess that folks like us buying guns and ammo play into that.

 :txflag:

Last I heard, five of them were trying to blow up a bridge the other day, but the MSM called THEM terrorists.

Haven't they been briefed? I thought the war on terror was over

Actually I think I heard about it at the same time Obama was giving his "Mission Accomplished" speech.

Well as it's been discovered today that the 5 were part of the OWS movement, the media will soon clarify that that meant to call them "protestors" an apologize for the error.

My order from Brassman.com came in. Does that count?

Occupiers try to blow up a bridge in Cleveland USA and it hardly makes the news. Surprise!!

Did the FBI supply their "explosives" to blow the brdge? There seems to be quite a few FBI mentored terrorist cells in the news in the past few years.

I hope they keep up the strike. More jobs for people with sense to occupy.

Or maybe they can stage another unruly protest and experience the "strike" of a baton or two. :biggrinjester:
