Been hunting the web and this forum but except for AMC I can find no definite information concerning movie theater postings. My daughter and I have been Dark Shadow fans for years and even though the upcoming movie will be nothing like the original show my daughter wants to go to this one. She's taking off from work and driving so we can see it.
Are any of the movie places on the west side of town off limits, 30.06 signs, beside the AMC houses? I want to be sure before showing up and then having to disarm. Thanks in advance.

AMC may have signage, but I have yet to see one that is compliant.

From what I've read in my searches, AMC is posted and for the most part with noncompliant signs. The compliance is neither here nor there, I won't do business with an anti-2nd company.
Also, even if I've not been made - to my knowledge - in 15 years, I don't want to be worried about possible legalities. Takes the relaxing enjoyment out of it. Should be much easier to explain an accidental showing of a gun than argue about sign specifications.

I don't think any of the Cinemark theaters are posted. A few of the ones we go to do have a sign that informs folks of their policy about cell phones and also says, "Firearms Prohibited," but that means about as much as the standard gunbuster sign to a CHL.

The Regal theater does not have a sign posted, neither does the Alamo Draft-house.

The manager of the Rialto on 410 & Perrin Beitel, is, as I recall 2nd-friendly.

All of the Santikos theaters are 2A friendly. Or at least their not unfriendly. I've been to 4 and none were posted.

AMC at Huebner was posted with signs on all the doors, but at ankle level. I know it's petty, but I took a little bit of pleasure from knowing they closed down a few months after I stopped giving them any of my money.

Yes, our AMC is posted at ankle height, the lettering is too small and it is in English only. It is however the only theater in the area so it is unlikely to fail. Given the behavior of the under 20 crowd on the weekends though, I'm not going in there with or without.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like any place but AMC will be OK.

REGAL Northwoods and Fiesta 16 look in backpacks, handbags and purses. Whether you carry a CHL or not, they say it's private property and you can't bring guns on the premises.

Regal Cinema 18 on 410 on the west side is posted. Any Sanitikos is good. None of them I have been to are posted. The Mayan is a place I won't go to though. City base cinema is good.
