Quote from a TSA spokesperson

"If someone owns a gun, they should know where it is at all times -- especially if it is loaded and a bullet is in the chamber," the TSA official said.

If I am not mistaken, a TSA agent left their loaded handgun in the public restroom of an airport so it seems the agency does not have much room to talk, or to demonize someone with a gun. And to give CNN credit they actually used the term magazine instead of clip.

What gets me though is he is FROM Florida and was flying out of Baltimore TO Florida, so was this a return flight, and if it was did they miss it on his trip to Baltimore?

So it was a self propelling bullet loaded in the chamber?

TSA "agents" are allowed to be armed? I didn't think they were. This is new to me.

Me too , unless he was off duty, I think this refers to a Secret Service Agent, not TSA, and we sure know about them lately, don't we?

The statement from the TSA head is correct, a person SHOULD know where it is at all times. It was not a TSA agent, they are not armed; it was a Federal Air Marshall. And, yes, they are part of TSA. I am sure they said the same thing to the air marshal.

Sorry, looked it up, it was an ATF agent not TSA. I just got the alphabet soup mixed up.

Seeing a trend here. Ladies carrying on body have a much more likely chance of leaving it in the restroom than men do since they must use the stalls all the time vs. men who are some-time stall occupants.
