Look Both Ways Before Charging

Summary:
A UT student maintains possession and control of his weapon (a sword of foam) during an unsuccessful attempt to cross the street.
It's kinda

and

at the same time...
On the one hand, he can't even walk across the street. On the other, he took a full direct hit from a bus, suffered only minor injuries, and didn't lose his sword. I mean how many of you could do that? I know I couldn't. But then I wouldn't have to because I know how to not run out in front of a bus.

I saw that video on the news. They started describing it before it had finished playing. It was one of those cringe inducing times when you see the video and say to yourself "Ohhhh this is gonna hurt!"

I guess I don't understand since I'm a fightin' Texas Aggie. Maybe they want a Darwin Award?
Why on earth would students choose a busy street as "no man's land" for a foam sword fight?
LMAO
Happy Trails! N

I heard someone say they ought to recruit that guy for football, anyone who can get hit by a bus and walk away is pretty tough in my book. Hook em!

I hate to bring this up, but others have mentioned it elsewhere. The guy who gets hit is wearing an Obama mask (see first few seconds of video)

Good catch, I missed that entirely. Maybe his vision was obscured, both metaphorically and his actual eyes.

Metaphor for the November election maybe.

Who gets hit by a bus anymore? It's a big, blocky building on wheels, you can't miss it.

According to the article the bus driver ran a red light. not that he shouldnt have looked but the kid was probably just watching the stoplight and ran out in the street when it turned red
