I used to like the UK...I liked the people there, especially in Scotland and Ireland....even considered living there years ago, but these days the UK is one of the last places I'd want to live, or even visit. I'd pick it above Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, probably above Pakistan and India, but I think I'd rather live in China, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and just about anywhere in Latin America (maybe even Mexico) than the UK. The UK has gone from excessively class conscious to completely classless and become an increasingly degenerate rat hole cultivating the lowest common social denominators. Unfortunately, we're on the same path, just a little further behind.

I have never liked the UK, and they just keep getting worse.

Of course, I am of Irish descent with an awareness of the UK's particularly brutal history.

Just gotta remember that what we see is the manifestation of England's government, not necessarily the opinion of the country's people. Near the bottom of the article:
The U.K.'s Guardian newspaper ran an online poll about the decision to prevent Larkin from coming to Britain. At 10:15 a.m. ET, more than 72 percent of those choosing to vote said he should have not have been banned.
A good reminder that we all need to vote in our own upcoming election...
