DEVELOPING:

Rep. Ron Paul of Texas said Monday he will not compete in primaries in any of the states that have not yet voted — essentially confirming Mitt Romney will win the Republican presidential nomination.

Mr. Paul said he will continue to work to win delegates in states that have already voted and where the process of delegate-selection is playing out. He said that’s a way to make his voice heard at the Republican nominating convention in Tampa, Fla., in August.

“Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted,” Mr. Paul said. “Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have.”

He did encourage his supporters to still turn out and vote.

His decision not to compete for new votes in other states leaves Mr. Romney as the only candidate still actively fighting for voters’ support in the 11 states still to vote. That list includes the biggest prizes on the board — Texas and California.
Finally.

Yep, now its time to get serious about sending the Occupier back to Chicago (or Hawaii, or Indonesia, or wherever...as long as he just GOES)!

Finally..... and I think it terribly sad that the only other choice I have besides BHO
is (drum roll please..... Mr. "More of the Same as We've Had for Years) MR.
Makes me sick to my stomach. And the Rep's ignoring the wishes/agenda of the
Tea Party is crazy. I'm really saddened and disappointed that THIS is the best we
can come up with....
Mitt as the only Rep candidate will make many here happy. Happy to stay the course this
country is headed on? Happy thinking Mitt will force/provide any real change to current policies?
The ONLY thing would be happy about the possibility of BHO losing.
I have not heard Mitt say he flat out supports the 2A. Even his speech at the NRA convention
wasn't luke warm...tepid at best. His solution to our countries financial woes.
His views on ENDING Executive Orders. Sealing our borders. Getting the Fed gov out of
education (that should be a state issue). Getting the Fed gov out of our lives where not
constitutionally mandated. So, what's the difference (idealogically) between Romneycare
and Obamacare?
Sorry if I've offended anyone here, and, yes, I'll vote for him (MR) even if it makes me throw up
doing so. Just count on nothing really changing; other than the guard of the same-old same-old,
if he manages to win.

So which of these should I vote for Santorum, Paul or Gingrich or John Davis or Buddy Roemer or Michele?

I won't vote for Robamaney

perhaps I'll vote in the Dem Primary...

for
http://www.txdemocrats.org/2012/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Ely, Bob President/Vice-President No 12/15/2011 Travis Lake Forest
Richardson, Darcy G. President/Vice-President No 12/15/2011 Travis Jacksonville
or
Wolfe, John President/Vice-President No 3/9/2012 Travis Chattanooga

Nah ... in the Primary ... I'll probably vote in the GOP one, for: NotMitt

Why Ron Paul's 2012 effort may not really be over

The Ron Paul campaign won't run ads in upcoming primaries, but Paul is still out to make his mark at the GOP's August convention. That means getting supporters elected as delegates and even picking up some 'stealth' delegates.

Could just vote for Obama then and hope that it allows us to hit the "reset" button sooner instead of dragging it out.

Maybe after 4 more years of Obama, somebody could find a truly conservative candidate that hasn't signed a permanent assault weapons ban or a socialized health care plan.

There is no such thing as the perfect conservative candidate. I have yet to see anyone who fits that bill. Even the late, great Mr. Ronald Reagan had his share of compromises and issues, as much as I liked the man. I'm going with the guy who isn't occupying the White House right now.

Ron Paul Has Not Suspended His Campaign

Today

“Asked if this is a dropout, Paul’s campaign manager Jesse Benton said ‘Absolutely not! We are focusing our efforts squarely on winning delegates and party leadership positions at state conventions.”

Hopefully this will help clear up some of today’s confusion:

So that answers for whom I'll vote (NotMitt) in which Primary

Yep, I wouldda voted for him if he hadn't dropped out, and most people I knew were the same.
He was probably the only third party candidate that had a chance in recent history .... but he dropped out because someone disrespected his daughter. .... so ... that's not a GOP candidate like Ron Paul and although Ron won't win, it's a good opportunity to voice displeasure with Robamaney's "track record" so he doesn't get overconfident that his past is a "mandate to continue" and perhaps if he did win (highly unlikely) in November, he'd actually listen to "the people"
Ron Paul is not OUT! He is UP!

“We are absolutely not dropping out of this race! We are focusing our efforts squarely on winning delegates and party leadership positions at state conventions.”

- Jesse Benton, Campaign Chairman

H Ross Perot, a third party candidate dropped out prematurely
Ron Paul, a GOP Candidate, didn't drop out but is trying to get delegates, so I'm voting for him in the GOP Primary this week during early voting which started today.

There's the difference.

He might not be campaigning any more, but if this clip is any indication sounds like George W. Bush will vote for Paul.

Yea, I have to agree. He's a real oddball. A medical Dr. A veteran. A man who predicted our economic predicament
years ago; And been saying the same thing for years. A man that doesn't talk out both sides of his mouth.
A man that actually offers a few solutions to our countries problems. I may not like everything he says, but, I respect
him because he is willing to say what he believes. He doesn't have hetro or homo relations with staff or aides.
He has a birth certificate. He pays his taxes. Many of his ideas might take years to enact. They might be like a slow train coming, once
it starts moving it's hard to stop. So, my question is WHEN are we willing to bite the bullet? We have swung so far left/socialist
we need a dramatic pull to the right. No Ron Paul isn't as slick or well dressed or has perfect hair..... but I kind of like the creepy
crazy uncle tag. It may be just what we need.
