Hello Everyone,

I am new to the site and just joined the waiting game like many others. I am a little disappointed after reading several of the posts. I kinda dragged my feet getting everything turned in thinking that it might be 4 or 5 weeks since I have a military background and have had several FBI BG checks. It appears that I was quite wrong.

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to be here.

Actually longthooth, I am former Air Force. I am all-branches friendly however. We all fight the same battles, just from different foxholes.

It was my pleasure to serve. I wouldn't trade that time for anything.

Welcome Sir, and Thank You very much for your service.

We are glad to have you aboard.

No telling how long it will take to receive that coveted piece of plastic.

Unfortunately, your service (and deservedness) will not likely be taken into account in Austin. The problem there seems to be one of under-staffing.

OTOH, you might be one of the "lucky" ones that gets their license quickly, I hope so. If it were up to me, all service men and women would have their applications placed at the front of the line, Lord knows they have earned such a small consideration.

Good day Sir,

Flint.

Welcome, ScubaSigGuy. The wait's not too terribly bad as long as you try not to think about the calendar, but it does vary quite a bit. Mine was 92 days door-to-door, but you could be one of the ones in the 50s.

Keep those SIGs dry when you dive!

That's not always a good thing... I have bought several new guns and gadgets while waiting. I am about to change by signature since the Kimber that I ordered came in in 3 days!!! Not the 5-6 weeks that they told me.

ScubaSigGuy,
How does that Sig handle under water? Must be hard to keep from "printing" in a wetsuit!! Seriously, welcome and hope for a speedy issue!
