Captain America was a 1941 super hero, so that was one of the few semi-auto pistols out there, and the staple side arm of the US Military. Only makes since he would use that gun. Besides, he IS Captain America and has great taste!!

OK, I saw Avengers this afternoon. Two lasting impressions:

1. Charlize Theron in spandex. I can die happy now.

2. What Hulk does to Loki at the end. I haven't laughed that hard in years.

The economy can't be too bad if people can afford to spend a billion dollars for movie tickets, not including the cost of popcorn, etc.

1. If you're referring to Black Widow, that is Scarlett Johansson. Cherlize Theron is not in The Avengers.
