Not really, but I could have.

I was in downtown Houston the other night, celebrating a birthday with a group of friends. Since the first part of the celebration was a "Pub Crawl" I was not armed. My snubbie was safe in my hotel room upstairs.

Later that evening, we ended up back at the hotel to have some birthday cake and coffee. As I was walking through the dining room I spotted a forum member having dinner so I stopped by the table to say "hello."

I went back to our group and had one of the waitresses send over some birthday cake to his table. One of my friends saw this and asked me how I knew the people at the table. I responded that he was a friend that I have know for a few years. I presume that he was carrying, but as they say, concealed is concealed.

Reminds me ... years ago when I first got my CHL and had JUST joined this forum, I was shopping at HEB and hear a guy saying .... RPB .... RPB .... RPB and he is with his young child.


I looked and a guy I never saw before says "Are you RPB on the forum?"

I say .... "Which forum?"

He says, the kayak fishing forum ... I say ... yes that's me.

(glad I asked)


He says he figured it was me because I had said there that I wear a hat like no one else wears ...

I explained I use this name on several forums ... So, naturally we started talking about CHLs and this forum. And he asked where to take the class.
