Memorial Weekend and big question, Why there is no military parade in DFW?

Veterans days is when you'll see the military parades. Memorial day is more of a solemn time to remember. At least that is what it should be. For most people today it's just another opportunity to get drunk and be stupid.

This was a big day for parades in Northern KY when I grew up. I miss them too.

Never saw a parade in Greater DFW. I lived in Nashua, NH and the annual air show was hit. I loved seeing the blackhawks take off and have a spin.

Agreed. I took today to watch the memorials in D.C and refresh my online search of my Grandfather's WWII records online. It is breathtaking to read the accounts of the war. Heros never forgotten.
