I don't know about a b & b. Hoping to spend around $300 for the week on hotels. I've stayed there once before. Hoping someone who has taking the class would have some insight info.

I was just there for the May class. I stayed at the Comfort Suites--call to make your reservation and you get the special rate(tell them what you are coming there for) that brings the cost WAY down to equal to the lower end ones. It is less than 5 minutes from where the class is held-about 20-25 minutes from the range in Florence. All rooms have a fridge & microwave, breakfast is include(pastries, biscuits & gravy, eggs, meat, cereals, waffles etc. etc.) There is a Chilis & and Applebees basically in the same parking lot. A couple of nights I just called an order over to Chilis & walked(1 minute) to pick it up--then put the rest in the fridge for the next night. Very quiet week--but then that COULD have been because of all the DPS cars in the parking lot! The lowest I counted was 6--the highest 19! And it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Red's range if you want to practice. But if you decide to go on Wednesday-make sure it isn't a night that the Austin Sure Shots aren't there! Learned that lesson the hard way! Went back on Thursday-no problems. And there are places to eat across the street from the Chamber building that you can just walk to so you don't lose your parking spot

Definitely the Comfort Suites. Gun friendly, a great rate for the DPS class, a clean comfortable room, and a decent breakfast every morning. Did I mention it was quiet? There was never any rowdy late night horseplay to keep me awake. There is a decent restaurant next door too.
