Not sure if this was run but it's too weird not to post and what’s even weirder is they arrested her for stealing a car

YEA, that makes the whole experience all better. She should have never been arrested in the first place.

...so you're privy to the investigation and know more about how it went down and came together than the news story says??? SHE understands what happened and why...seems fine with it...

Perhaps it would be worthwhile looking at a real news source instead of Youtube.

The woman was in a bank in Houston that was robbed. She ran out the door and, in her own words—
"...I pushed the first door and I threw a lady out of the way," she said. "The first car I saw, I jumped in."
She said the car was on, so she floored it, desperate to escape.
She had no idea that the car that she used without authorization (the elements of the crime that is commonly called motor vehicle theft) had been driven there by the bank robbers. She also had no idea that the bank robbers had stolen it earlier.
The FBI eventually cleared Blanca and said she was just a witness.

Anyone who thinks that a person driving a stolen car away from a crime scene can receive a "get out of jail free" card has been reading a few too many comic books. Or playing Monopoly too much. I dunno.

...this "real news source" IS the same tape that was posted in the OP on Youtube...identical...
...perhaps it would be worthwhile looking at a Youtube before criticizing it...

Wow, I hope that I am never stuck on a drifting lifeboat with that lady around supper-time.

Youtube is fine for homemade video of kittens and "American Idol" wannabees. I would not use it as the basis for any serious discussion.

...in this case...your argument doesn't hold water...it has the exact same video that you put forth as being "a real news source"...so why sneer because it came from Youtube??? did you even watch it before you jumped? there're a lot of worthwhile, informative things on Youtube...if you want to find them...

...just ONE example ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt1fYSAChxs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

did you even watch it before you jumped?
No. I am under no obligation to look at anything. There must be millions of websites, TV channels, and radio programs that I gleefully don't waste time looking at every day.

I searched the web for a story based on the subject line, "woman steals get away car from bank robbers."

...so you feel free in criticizing the OP's source without even knowing what it is...that's my point...

Sure. Why not?

Have you listened to Al Jazeera lately? Pravda?

...no, sure haven't...has nothing to do with the discussion...
...you are just as logical in criticizing the OP's source without even looking at it, as I would be to read a post on Mopes and Dopes, and jump on your media source because I don't like the mainstream media...then post MY source which said verbatim the same thing as a more credible source...sneering that we need a "real news source" is funny when you offer the same thing the OP did...and if I'd done it instead of you...you'd see the humor in it...

For what it's worth.... The YouTube video was nothing more than a KHOU broadcast of the story. Any editorializing, if any, was KHOU's alone. The YouTube channel owner doesn't appear to have edited it in any way for what appeared on the air during the news broadcast. Of course, the commercials are missing, so there is that.....

Jim, the story you linked to has the exact same video in it. So I'm not sure what your objection is. Just sayin'....
