Benchmade 9050 AFO (I think) Rust Spots. How to deal?

I inherited a Benchmade 9050 AFO (I think) from my uncle recently. The knife is gorgeous and extremely sharp and all, but there is a couple of flaws to it. First, there are rust spots about on the blade and was wondering how do I go about taking care of this? Second.. I don't know the model number of it. It is a switchblade (Yes, I know illegal, so let's not start that convo here. This will stay in my drawer.) and I believe it looks VERY similar to the 9050 AFO. Though the AFO has a little blade lock mechanism on the spine and my does NOT have this. Also it has no place for a pocket clip screw-on area, though, the 9050 does.
Here are a couple of pictures. Thanks in advance.

Back:
I put some oil on it to help it, but didn't bathe it.
Again, thanks.

Try some Bartender's Friend. It should get rid of the spots and stains.

Hoppes may do the trick as well.... soak the blade for 24 hrs in it. Wipe clean

I've always used light oil and a light application of 0000 steel wool for surface rust.

Stainless Steel, the worst named metal ever.

Send to Benchmade to have sharpened...and yes, I know you said the knife was sharp. They will clean it up for you??

I would contact BM. I have an AFO Tanto and I'm concerned it might do the same.
If you need an LEO to send it, I could help, but I doubt that's necessary.
Mine's not super sharp anymore but it can cut a flake off of a crack rock, which is 99% of its role these days.

Another option would be
Flitz metal, plastic, and fiberglass polish. Been around for decades and works on just about any metal surface, including chrome, silverplate, and painted surfaces. I use it for tons of stuff; even removing "idiot scratches" from used 1911s. For your knife, I think I'd soak it for a while in Kroil, buff the rust off to get it mostly clean, then use Flitz as a finishing step after you wipe all the Kroil off.

I can vouch for both Nevr-Dull and Flitz as Keith B. has suggested. They both work beautifully and take very little effort to achieve outstanding results.

All the above are probably abrasives at some level.
I'd suggest considering Evaporust. A 2-hour soak (max) of the whole knife should do nicely.
