It is enough gun for you... Carry it all the time ;)
What do you think? a .25 as EDC?

uh, no. .25 will barely break the skin, and would make the attacker angry
.32 minimum for me, preferably as a backup

A .22LR pistol will likely be more effective due to its better penetration than a .25.

I do hope you are not suggesting this as a primary carry sidearm for a woman - just because they are a woman?
I see the wink in your message, but the subject tag confuses me. I would hope you would want your wife better armed than this.

If that is what it took to "break" the wife into EDC, I would purchase for the Mrs. For self, it would be a key chain emblem at best.

A .25 is a nice thing to have when you're not carrying a gun.
Massad F. Ayoob
Carry a 25 if it makes you feel good, but do not ever load it. If you load it you may shoot it. If you shoot it you may hit somebody, and if you hit somebody - and he finds out about it - he may be very angry with you.
Jeff Cooper
If she wants mouse size ...
That .25 is about the same size as a .380 by AMT or Diamondback, and
larger than a Seecamp .380
9mms are getting smaller every day too. A 9mm can be pocket carried with the right gun and right pants pockets/ or have them altered to enlarge the pockets.

Well, it would make a decent belt buckle. Or maybe a paper weight.

Massad Ayoob says you might as well shoot a .22 for the money. A 25or 32 is a waste of money; The .22 has just a much energy

.25 is a no go. That's the bottom line. Like others have said a .22lr, mag or .32ACP are both better imo for semi auto. Both the .22 and .32 can penetrate enough in hardball to reach the vitals but of course these are nothing more then back up calibers or extreme deep carry. I would start at .32acp and only as a back up carry or if you need as I have posted before an extreme deep carry piece as a last ditch effort when you can't carry around a pistol (like my kel tec p32 when working out). .22lr can penetrate just as well as a .32acp but in the end the .32acp is a .312 diameter bullet.
IMO there is no longer any reason to go smaller then 9mm or .38 special IF you are pocket carrying, which I don't consider deep concealment. A Kahr CM9 is easy to carry in your front pocket and even some a little bigger. I only carry smaller then 9mm when I need very deep concealment. The smallest I pocket carry is 9mm and .38 special snub. Basically I only carry a service caliber pistol if I am only carrying one gun and no a .380acp is not a service caliber pistol unless you live in Europe or South America. Just my two cents.
