Remarkabe! I thought this would be in an anti state, but no. It's in Florida. Unbelievable! At least if it were in an anti state it would be a tiny bit more palatable and explain their insanity.

I've always said juries are comprised of12 people who aren't smart enough to figure out how to get out of jury duty.

Correction..... A jury of your peers is probably highly desirable. A jury of the alleged victim's peers sounds like a bad idea.

It may have been Florida, but does anyone know anything about that particular area of the state? Such as, are there a large number of folks previously from the Northeastern USA who now live there? That alone could have been the difference between sanity and this travesty of justice.

As Ron White says, "you can't fix stupid". But stupid can pay and receive big settelments! Atleast he didn't try to trim the top of his hedge with a lawnmower.

...or try to get some string out of the lawnmower while it was running...
