I can't think of a better way of celebrating the 4th than by shooting this or any other rifle I please. There are very few countries in the world where we could do this. Summed up, the genesis of my day at the range enjoying my constitutional right to bear arms started on that hot, humid July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Happy birthday America -- you're still a hell of a country.

I, hopefully, won't be shooting anything or anyone today. I am making chili to go with some hot dogs later. I might pick up some cornbread while I'm out in a little bit.

The shooting group we belong to had a great family gathering today. :fire Some centerfire and rimfire activities, some steel targets, a shooting gallery for rimfire and some head to head contests with a dueling tree and clay targets as well. A lot of fun in spite of the heat - $1 for a hot dog and soda, and the comraderie was free! Now home with the family chilling out and getting ready for smores after dinner!

Happy 4th of July!
I spent a fun morning with my daughter. We exercised our 2nd Amendment right at the range :fire . Now she is cooking a cake for tonight’s BBQ  . She will decorate it like the American Flag. :patriot:

I reminisced over my youngest son's birthday and the good times we had. He would have been 43 years old today. I still miss him even though he's been gone 31 years.

I helped our on-duty co-Host with an abrasive [abbreviated profanity deleted.] Park intruder then went across the road to the gravel pit and punched some paper with my CZ 452 American .22 LR and then chased the bouncing ball with my edc 1911 LW Compact and my Sig P-230 SL. That little Sig sure is sweet.

This evening we'll have a fire, an adult beverage or two and buffalo burgers. Life is good....all things considered. :patriot:

Chili was good, tummy is full, C-dub is sleepy. Good night everyone and Happy Independence Day!
