Wally Walk/Ride

:hurry: 42 days mailbox to mailbox. Got my CHL in the mail today. I slapped on my new jeans (2" too big) my new gun belt, and my Glock 26 in my IWB holster. I got on my motorcycle and rode to Wally World. Shopped around, bought some shorts (2" too big). It wasn't as eventful as I had imagined for the 42 days as I waited for my CHL to arrive in the mail. Seemed like the store clerks were checking my out more than usual. My imagination probably. My shirt never flies up on my motorcycle because my back is always against the backrest. But that didn't keep me from looking to make sure every 30 seconds.

I do see a new G17 or 19 in my near future.

Congrats! The way the title was worded, I was wondering if you got to walmart, then drove around in one of their little carts. :biggrinjester:

I started with a G26. Figured I couldn't carry anything bigger. Wrong.....

Then i shot a buddies G19. That ended the G26 days fairly quickly and was replaced with a G17 and G30.

I have a 26, 17, and 34 (missing the 19). The 34 and 17 aren't much different in terms of carrying. The 17 and the 26 are greatly different. I would recommend you try a 19.
Also I recommend the PDX 9mm 124 gr. JHP http://www.winchester.com/Products/hand ... MMPDB.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hmm. I need to go to a LGS and fondle the 26. I only have a 19 currently, but eventually want the whole family in 9mm and .45 :biggrinjester:

I just don't know if I'm going to try and pick up a 26, 30 or 21 next. Decisions, decisions. :grumble

The 26 is my EDC. It has been my preference over: Ruger LCP, Springfield XD subcompact .40, 3 other Glocks, a 1911, and a Walther
p99. Be prepared to buy a mag extension. The pinky "issue" is hard to overcome after using a G 17 or full size pistol.
The 30 is a great CCW if you ask me.

That is kind of what has kept me away so far. Folks seem to like the pinky extensions, but if I make it as long as a Glock 19, I might as well carry my 19. I need to just find someone near by who has one and go shoot it. That'll help me make up my mind. :mrgreen:

The pinky problem was a non-issue for me when shooting the 26. The reason I don't own it anymore is because I wanted more capacity. I could have thrown a G17 or 19 mag in it...yes, but then I may as well have just gone with a Glock 19 or Glock 17. LOL

RSJ- The Glock 30 is one fine piece of work. That thing is a LOT of beast in a package the same size, but a bit fatter, than a Glock 19.

The "Wally Walk" is describing, "I got my license in the mail, put on a gun and walked around Wal*Mart with it."

My first public carrying was at Wal*Mart. Didn't feel weird, just... there. :tiphat:
