This is a long shot, but I'm trying to help a college student (single, female, no CHL) avoid living in a Houston apartment complex. Pulling up crime stats from HPD's website on different addresses/neighborhoods is a sobering sight.

I have great memories of living in a garage apartment in my college days; hoping to help her w. the same. Somewhere between Montrose and west/southwest Houston would be ideal.

Any leads would be much appreciated! a room for rent in a decent household would be a possibility, too.

I have a female friend who lives in the Heights which is not far from your want list. She has a house and is looking for a roommate. Would this person mind dogs? I ask because my friend is a dog person and has three I think... Small dogs...

She could stay with the wife and me but we just moved to RICHMOND!!!
