The above video is 2 minutes, 43 seconds long. It introduces a new weapon in the war against flies and other
flying critters you want to eliminate.

The weapon is called the Bug A Salt, invented by an artist named Lorenzo Maggiore. You load it with standard
salt crystals. One load will give you 50 to 60 rounds of salt. You pump this weapon up like a pump shotgun,
then you can shoot and kill flies.

The optimal distance from your target = 24 inches. It kills the fly, but leaves it whole for easy pickup and disposal.

How much do you think it cost him to go to China to get this thing engineered and early prototypes made?

Some people use 9MM, some use .40, some use .45. This guy uses........SALT.

Cool product. I wish I had one when I was a kid.

It's hard to tell how much it cost. Just couple of trips to China would be several thousand. I'd think that he has easily invested $100K so far. Just a prototype mold can cost 10K for each part.

He has the advantage of being first, but if it takes off there will be copies of his Bug-a-Salt within a month.

That's a cool toy. But you should know that it is illegal to use it in Pflugerville. For the same reason, it is also illegal in Pflugerville to fire a nerf gun or drop mentos into a soda bottle.

Um, no.

There is no future for this weapon. As soon as a few of these guns are sold, US Fish and Wildlife will add houseflies to the Endangered Species list and it will be a crime to kill them.
