What my "anti's" are posting today on facebook.
Seems the GG in Salt Lake City is trumped by the BG CHL in Florida.
Haven't researched this story. It was linked by an Anti so not sure if this was written one sided or not.

Reading the link, this guy sounds like a murderer, if all is as stated. He needs to burn.

Assuming that the facts are as reported, that was a murder. Assuming the facts are as reported.

He had 3 no trespassing signs
FL Shooting suspect said victim had 'no trespassing' warning

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Kenneth Roop told Cape Coral Police he had three "no trespassing" signs in his yard, when door-to-door salesman Nicholas Rainey walked into his driveway. Police say he shot Rainey twice, killing him Wednesday afternoon.
...
Roop told police the salesman "should have respected that warning." But did that give him the right to shoot?
"It's not a license to harm somebody, no," Attorney Brian Edwards said.

As long as the shooting was otherwise "justified" I have no problem with firing for effect, but he never should have said so.

Nothing but cold blooded murder. These people trying to claim Stand Your Ground as a defense in these cases are idiots.

I didn't say it. Some did. Maybe it was Ron White.
"You can't fix stupid", but you can lock them up for life when they do something like this.

This looks clearly written from an anti-gun perspective, but if the facts are as reported, this is murder. The fact that the guy had a concealed carry license should be irrelevant. Don't really see how stand your ground or castle doctrine defense applies here...

Thing is, Examiner.com is a very conservative, very pro-gun website. Maybe the original reporting at NewsPress.com which Examiner.com was sourcing was biased against guns, but it doesn't seem like any anti-gun bias on Examiner.com's part is showing through.
Here's an example:
http://www.examiner.com/article/anti-gu ... un-control
This column’s revelation that the treaty would create a new gun control “secretariat” — translation: a new international bureaucracy — raised even more alarms. That detail was buried several pages back in the treaty draft, and as the saying goes, the Devil is in the details.
{snip}
Global gun control proponents are determined to bring this treaty proposal back to the table in September. They are an unhappy lot, so much so that Suzanne Nossel, executive director of Amnesty International USA, felt compelled to say this:
"This was stunning cowardice by the Obama administration, which at the last minute did an about-face and scuttled progress toward a global arms treaty, just as it reached the finish line. It's a staggering abdication of leadership by the world's largest exporter of conventional weapons to pull the plug on the talks just as they were nearing an historic breakthrough."—Suzanne Nossel, quoted by USAToday.
The irony of this statement is perhaps most stunning to American gun owners, who see the Obama administration as the archenemy of gun rights. It was, after all, President Obama who appointed two liberal anti-gunners to the U.S. Supreme Court. It was Mr. Obama who provided last-minute cover to embattled Attorney General Eric Holder in his effort to withhold documents from the Fast and Furious investigation. It was the president who said in 2009 that he supported the ATT and indicated he would sign it.
{snip}
Victoria Nuland, spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton’s State Department is quoted by the Associated Press story that appears in the Seattle P-I.com. She reportedly said the U.S. — meaning the Obama administration — wants another round of negotiations next year, as in “after the November election.”
Gun owners are coming to full realization just how important the election is, not only on domestic issues but also on an international scale. Because this treaty still has a genuine possibility of resurrection, it remains a threat and in the collective mind of the firearms community the most effective way to stop it is to replace the administration that wants to sign it.
That seems pretty clearly pro-gun (and by the way,
truthful) to me.

After reading the news article, I don't see any legal justification for shooting the guy. It appears to be a Get Off My Lawn Shooting™.

Isn't the Examiner a site for volunteer contributors? I know a couple of people that write articles published on the website. It think it has all types of folks. Some conservative, some moderate and some liberal.

Here is a cut and dry story from Fort Myers. No CHL mentioned.
http://www.fox4now.com/news/164071446.h ... 636&page=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Statements from his attorney, not sounding real good.
http://www.news-press.com/article/20120 ... -his-house" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
"nut job on the block" "pulled gun on meter reader" Wished they would have pulled his CHL at that point.
Another story said he was not given bail.

Put a bullet between his ears, just for the same "effect". Case closed.
Please do it fast and save some wasted skin.
