Hay Forum!

Where is the best buy for 1911 magazines? Looking for some quality..not the junkers.

For good quality, but relatively inexpensive, mags I go with Colts. Have a look at CDNN.

That's like asking which Tires you like?
Here's my recommendations:

Tripp Cobra Mags. Not the cheapest, but the best:

I will also recommend to you that you stay away from 8 round .45 magazines as they do not work well in all 1911's.
The Tripp 7 round mags for both the Govt./Commander and also 7 rounders for the Officers/Compacts work extremely well in most 1911's.

2nd best in my opinion is Wilson Combat, but I sold the 8 rounders I had in favor of the 7 round Tripp Cobra's.

Tripp Cobra Mags or PSI-Act mags (aka Novak)

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2288 ... TO-ACT-MAG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

for 1911 9mm (single stack) I like metalform (OEM for Springfield):

You may want to post this on the 1911 forum. I own an Ed Brown Kobra. As much as I love EB parts, I prefer Wilson Combat magazines.
