this is a nice old Remington Gamemaster 760 pump action .30-06. The scope is a Weaver K4 fixed 4 power and the leather sling is included as well. This rifle has been hunted a lot, and it has the nicks and scuffs to prove it, but she still has a lifetime of deer hunting left in her!

I'm just curious...was it your grandfather's deer rifle? With all those nicks and dings, it probably has a lot of stories to go with them.

It actually belonged to my dad's 2nd wife's father -- so "step grandfather" at best. He is long deceased and I was an adult when dad remarried, so I didn't know him very well and never got the stories, but the gun ended up with me nonetheless.

I love it when guns marry into the family.

The 760 is a fine hunting rifle in 30.06. Not long after we married, my wife gave me one, after secret consultation with a good friend of mine and fellow deer hunter, so I would have MY OWN.

It has been a superb hunting rifle. I have had ZERO issues with it in 30 years. The pump action is very smooth and allows for very rapid follow up shots without disturbing sight picture with a scope. If you are looking for an excellent hunting rifle for any game in North America this may be it. Wide variety of loadings available for the 30.06 cartridge.

I took my first few deer with a game master in. 270. Excellent rifles! Wish this one was closer to me.
