"I'm Glad We're in Texas...."

My wife and a friend were at a sidewalk sale at a local store today. As they were browsing the racks they noticed an elderly gentleman bent over looking at the shoes. My wife was close to him as he straightened back up when she heard a loud thunk of something heavy hitting the sidewalk. The other dozen or so women standing around looked to see what hit the floor. My wife knew immediately what it was. The gentleman unabashedly picked up his gun and tucked it back in his waistband ( :nono: ) and then exlclaimed, "I'm glad we're in Texas where nobody freaks out when a man drops his gun."

Everyone went about their shopping like it happened every day.

My wife got a kick out of it.

We can chastise the man for a lot of things but I have to agree with him, "I'm glad we're in Texas!" :txflag:

I have been tempted to walk my rottie with my zombie edition 870 strapped on me. But then again I live in a cartel infested city. Wouldn't be the smartest thing to do even if I have the right to do so.
