There are 2 or 3 new ones that got looked over in a gun shop in Indiana called http://www.theguntown.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . But the price is to high, they want 875 a piece for them. If you want one bad enough look them up. I have bought 2 firearms from them, very good people.

I bought one a few weeks ago and really like it, so I am looking for another but not in the $875 class ;-) . Thanks everyone so far and keep the ideas coming.

May I ask what was wrong with the P6 (same as P225) for $399???

The P 6 and the P 225 have interchangeable parts, but some of those parts are different. The 225 has a ramped barrel to feed hollow points and most p6 won't feed JHP at all or not well. The trigger pull on the P6 is much heavier because of stronger springs.

You can get a spring kit for $40 plus pay to get them put in, but the ramped barrel is a biggie as all I use is JHP.

Thanks,
George

If it was the one on the forum I was going to try for it but you beat me to it. I have a custom 225 that is really nice. Another one would be nice but I agree with you not $875 nice. :tiphat:

Hey Tx, same one. Nice seller and real clean pistol. It's in the shop right now getting a short trigger installed. I would like to find another in that shape and for that price !

Could you drop in a P225 barrel, or does that drive the cost up enough to make it not worth the trouble?

Hey Dave, I think its a drop in, but I am not sure. Either way you have to buy one and in my opinion that takes the P6 out because of cost. If you don't shoot JHP, then you wouldn't need the other barrel. All I load and use is JHP.

thanks,
George

I got my short trigger on the Sig website, but you have to look for it. It's under " accessories" and you have to order by
Model #.
