DAVIE — Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Broward College issued an 'all clear' on its social media and emergency notification systems. The message said that a campus emergency was over and that students, faculty and others could return to normal business.
"Allegedly, someone got punched in the face. We have a report that someone brandished a firearm and fled," said Davie Police Captain Dale Engle.
During the emergency, Broward College and the several other schools located near its Davie campus were put on lockdown.
