Isn't this what our foreign aid does?

It looks like we aren't paying our fair share.

I have a gut feeling Obama is all for this. Well, at least after the election he'll be all for it. You know, once he gets past the election he'll "have more flexibility".

The problem with most underdeveloped countries is not a lack of money, it is a lack of civility and a willingness to progress into the modern era.

Global taxes, one world currency and the elimination of guns from the subjects, that is where he wants to take us.

You forgot one. He also wants himself to become Barak I, of the House of Obama, Autocrat and Imperitor of the Whole World.

No.
But the need for new revenue is becoming more urgent as the world’s rich countries, gripped in recession, no longer hand out foreign aid with the same generosity as before — though the total reached $133 billion annually last year--while the demands for huge additional amounts of money for social and climate issues continues to grow.
the overseers of a new, U.N.-sponsored Green Climate Fund held their first meeting in Bonn to contemplate the spending of some $30 billion annually — rising to $100 billion by 2020 — to meet climate change needs in developing countries. Where all that money will come from is still not clear
This is all just the carbon tax on steroids, brought to you by a Liberal Columbia professor who is part of the Occupy Wall Street crowd. They are still trying to use LOST (Law of the Sea Treaty) to usurp country control - of everything.

The Founding Fathers, with all respect, must be rolling around in their graves. I'm both sickened by this and irritated in the extreme. :mad5

Agree. And even a democrat controlled congress is not likely to buy into this....for two reasons: 1) they are jealously protective of their own power to tax and are not about to give that power to anybody else, even if they are in philosophical agreement, and regardless of party affiliation; and 2) they want to get re-elected. They like their cushy jobs where they get to vote themselves raises and all the benefits of royalty.
