my first carry piece when I owned a dancehall back in the '80's

ran across a nice one for not much money, so I had to snag it

built like a tank

very well balanced

smooth action and accurate

.357 barks like a big dog

If you carried off your property in the 1980s you broke the law as TX carry didn't begin until 1/1/1996.

If he owned the dancehall, it was his property. ;-)

Doc: I have a soft spot for the Speed Six (and the Single Six  ) but the challenge is finding one at a good price. Congrats!

I had the Security Six in .357 Mag, stainless with 4" in barrel.

Wish I still had it. Maybe I should replace it too.

Speaking of which/whom, we haven't heard from Speedsix lately?

Ditto. Well, almost, it was blue. Really hated having to sell it.

I have a stainless Security Six (adjustable sites and bull barrel) that I absolutely love. Wouldn't take a $1,000,000 for it.

Well......OK, yes I would, but would really miss it. :thumbs2:

I've been looking everywhere for one (Ruger Security Six). My father had owned one and it was my first firearm I have ever touched and shot. It was in stainless, 4" barrel and in .357 flavor. Beautiful grips if I remember correctly, too. Unfortunately it was stolen when someone broke into my house when I was in middle school. I have been trying to keep my eye out for one at some gun shows so I can purchase one. I haven't found any to this day. Very rare I suppose. I see a few online, but rather buy it face to face than to wait for shipping, etc. We tried to replace it by giving him a Sig, but he wants a revolver. He has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemo treatment and would love to surprise him one day with it. He's going to flip..

Anyone here in lower Texas region (San Antonio, Austin, Houston) see one, let me know. :cheers2:

I had the Security Six also. In my preteens I carried it full of snake shot when hunting. It was my first sidearm!
