Sick and depraved - hope that company pays thru the nose and the collector is sent to the sandbox to collect camel dung

That is about as disgusting a display from a company as I have ever heard. The man had head and spinal injuries, not a sore back and bad hearing. That company employs some truly low-down trash. I started to read the comments, but a lot of them seemed low-life as well. Incredible, and not in a good way. :mad5

They need to send the entire company to the mid-east for "training"

I suspect the people at that agency are not going to have a Good Day at work anytime soon.
And I bet that agent is already on the street, and considering relocating.

Don’t let it get to you Andy. I have an idea that Vet will do OK. I hope he is successful in his suits and puts them out of business. If he does, maybe it will serve notice on other collectors.

This may actually be the best thing that could happen for the Vet. Hope he recorded the calls. :thumbs2:

I hope he recorded the calls because otherwise it's a tough sell for a jury.

you know what....it's not really...most people have been called by a bill collector at some point in their life, and while most haven't been cursed at like that....it's not hard to believe they did it.

This makes my blood boil. After the sacrifices this veteran made, he should not be subjected to a low-life scum like this bill collector.

I hope the company is made to pay and pay and pay!

Am I strange for paying my bills? I didn't think it would be so rare on a forum that seems so conservative on other issues.

it's got absolutely nothing to do with conservative or not conservative. You see there was this little thing that a whole lot of people like to ignore called the Tech Bubble, it burst at the end of Clinton's Administration, and most of us who were caught up in it were White, Upper Middle income, and Well Educated ;-) Republicans
Bush never blamed Clinton he just worked hard to make a job friendly atmosphere during a rough time. but still many, many of us ended up loosing everything, and I do mean everything. Many, many of our friends were in the same boat we were in, we just sunk lower and longer. And before you say anything my husband worked 3 part-time jobs and I worked and homeschooled our children at the same time.
We only bought our new home a couple of years ago, and we were scared to death to sign the forms.

That's kinda pretentious. I have a common name & have received erroneous collection calls on more than one occasion and was once forced to respond to an erroneous lawsuit. (If you dont respond the plaintiff wins a default judgement regardless of merit)

After I explained to the bill collectors that they had the wrong guy and to stop calling me, they sell the account to another collection agency and the game starts anew. :tiphat:

I let my answering machine screen ALL calls.

Using this approach saves me from the pestiferous...

We have a home phone line that has not been plugged in for around a decade. It's only active because of a bundle deal that we signed up for with Verizon FIOS, all we wanted was the TV and the internet. It was cheaper to bundle it with the phone. Just for fun I look on the TV menu (from the FIOS control box) and check out the calls every now and then...sometimes I google the number, always solicitors and their brethren. Anyone who needs to get ahold of me already has my cell...and there's this little thing called the US Postal Service. :tiphat:
