Wife to take her CHL

My wife has expressed an interest to attain her CHL. The issue is: she is a Naturalized Citizen from Korea. Although she will have no problem passing the shooting skills portion, she is actually a very good shot and is skilled with her firearm, but she will have a problem with taking the written test. She understands English and can read and write the same, but test taking is somewhat more difficult, especially while going through an Instructor led briefing type of class. Question is: are there practice tests available? This so I can work with her prior to her going to the class itself and she wouldn't be quite so nervous. Also, is there a rule with someone reading the questions to an individual while they are taking the test and they mark the answer?

There is no practice test but the written test is easy. Really easy. As in I could have passed it before taking the class

If she is not legally blind, then I don't think DPS will approve of someone reading the test for her, other than the Instructor. We can make such accommodations. In fact, this specific question was asked in an Instructor Renewal class a few years ago. This dealt with a Spanish-speaking student and DPS said it was fine to give them an oral test, so long as the question was read to them precisely as written and, obviously, we could not give them help with the answer.
Chas.
Edited to add: The Spanish speaking student had a working knowledge of English, but could not read or write English. That's a rather important detail I left out.
