$10,000 to officers who will shoot, kill burglars

This gave me such a warm fuzzy...
I'd like to know if the offer stands for CHLs not just Officers.
Maybe replace 30.06 signs with one of these??

If the officer was on duty, I don't think they are allowed to accept the money.

I hate being Mr. Technicality but how would you justify such a shoot as a CHL'er? Why would you want to?

I'm afraid shooting a burglar that's not stealing your property equates to skating on thin ice. I know the PC says you may use deadly force but; should you?

I appreciate her sentiment, but the sign is just asking for trouble...

Legally, it is pretty sketchy but strictly limiting it to LEO's, who should know better than to consider trying to collect, should keep her out of hot water. There is also a very good chance that has been discussed since the article mentions she has gotten positive responses from local LEO's.

Actually, there is no mention of money in that sign. Just the number 10,000. It doesn't say 10,000 of what.

And LEOs cant take the reward
so its simply a deterrent
