It was always a real treat when my mom packed a cream filled Hostess cup cake in my lunch box in 1955. It didn't take very much to make me happy in Kindergarten.

Sad.

Maybe the union thought they were bluffing.

I'm sure they don't blame themselves.

It was those evil capitalists.

Don't worry! All those Twinkies stored away in the bomb shelters during the 60's will be good for another 137 years.

and they will sell for $100/ea. now that the supply will go down. Maybe I'll go buy up all that's left and start a black-market business. :evil2:

A very tough less to the Unions that time has changed. That you President Obama for the "Hope and Change", let us go "Forward", to the Cliff we march.

From NBC DFW,
NBC's Savannah Guthrie read a statement on "Today" from the bakers' union that said: “Despite Greg Rayburn’s insulting and disingenuous statements of the last several months, the truth is that Hostess workers and the union have absolutely no responsibility for the failure of this company. That responsibility rests squarely on the shoulders of the company’s decision makers.”
Wow, you must be psychic, got any tips for the next lotto drawing? :woohoo

The "blame-less" outcome appeared to be very predictable from the beginning of this. Of course the company's management is wholly to blame and there were no outside influences on the outcome. Unfortunately, this same self-destructive behavior has been displayed in other places in our country recently. It reminds me of the this story.

Hmmm, so the workers union has no blame? Lets see
1) The company is in bankruptcy because they are in debt and not making enough money
2) The union wouldn't take concessions in the contract and the workers won't work
3) The company is not producing a product when workers don't work
4) The company can't sell product they don't have in order to make money
5) The company can't pay the workers or debt because they aren't selling products that aren't being produced by workers that are not working

Nope, nothing wrong with that :banghead:

It's funny to me that Washington and Colorado just legalized marijuana, but now there will be no Twinkies or chocolate cupcakes.
