San Francisco moves to the right!

Yep -- They're becoming conservative in SF!
San Francisco lawmakers on Tuesday narrowly approved a proposal to ban public nakedness, rejecting arguments that the measure would eat away at a reputation for tolerance enjoyed by a city known for flouting convention and flaunting its counter-culture image.

The 6-5 Board of Supervisors vote means that exposed genitals will be prohibited in most public places, including streets, sidewalks and public transit.
Seems they've been having an issue with naked men in public. Story Here...

Pretty close vote. In this bad economy, they probably don't want to chase away the tourists.

Weiner's opponents on the board said a citywide ban would draw police officers' attention away from more critical problems and eat away at city's reputation for tolerance.

"I'm concerned about civil liberties, about free speech, about changing San Francisco's style and how we are as a city," Supervisor John Avalos said.
This is a pretty lame, liberal excuse to argue for continuing to allow an offensive practice. I would not want to have to look at someones genitals while me and my family are enjoying a meal on a restaurants terrace or be forced to eat indoors to avoid the "scenery".

the one woman protestor was reasonably hot, but the newsmedia only showed her from the neck up.

Oh please. She was a old bag. And the news media only showed that part of her that was dead.

Funny how liberals turn to the right when it affects their own wallets.

Moved to the right...and the distance they covered by enacting this was about 1 millimeter.

Exactly. Note that the new law still allows public nudity, just not everywhere all the time.

I just hope they don't entice any liberals to leave town...

I don't expect any more movement in the right direction (pun intended) any time soon and they will wake up in a day or so, recognize that they have deviated from the Progressive path. They will atone for their momentary lapse toward sanity by passing some other law strain everyone's definition of ridiculous.

Even pigs get tired of the slop if they have to wallow deep enough in it that there is no longer even a foothold.

I saw a reminder on the American Thinker this morning that Kali was once a red State. It boggles the mind about how far into the slop it has sunk since.
