In fact, licensees in Texas may carry concealed handguns in malls, unless a mall posts a sign that prohibits them and cites a section of the penal code that makes doing so a class A misdemeanor.

In other words: South Park Mall, get a sign.

I love Rep. Lavender's response....NOT! I am not sure how I feel about the fact he is the one who supposedly is going to introduce an Open Carry bill in January. IMO the open carry supporters my want to look for another proponent to sponsor the bill if he thinks this guy was in the wrong.

How about changing policy to limit the size and waiting times for Black Friday crowds instead?
To me that makes the same amount of sense, and would impact and turn away fewer customers.

I agree that there should be more signs. I suggest one that says something along the lines of "Don't cut in line and punch people in the face".

There already are regulations to that effect: fire code and occupancy limits.
