Good for him! And the great part is that he at no time interjected his own opinion on the subject. He merely prevented that cretin from the transit authority from bullying a couple of law-abiding citizens, and stood up for their Constitutional right to do what they were doing.

My old home airport, and I know the guy who was insisting on insurance. He's always been that way.

I absolutely loved seeing the transit uthority nazi getting all flustered when the mere peasants refused to bow to his superior authority. LOVE IT! Props to infowars for this one.

I like the way the deputy handled being thrown in the middle with class, level headedness, and respect for all involved.
The best part, for me, is when the older gentlemen wants their IDs and winks at th deputy and says he can just get it from him....as if the LEO was in "his" side or something.

I don't know who you are referring to, the only nazi in the video is a civil service employee of the City of Albany NY, not "transit uthority."
Besides overstepping his bounds by insisting on ID and generally bullying, he actually had no right, despite his being nominally in charge of the airport property, to declare that only ticketed passengers could go up the escalator.

I don't know what he is, nor do I care, but he obviously thinks pretty highly of himself. I only used the transit authority reference because it was used in a previous post. Pardon the spelling/grammatical errors... I've been typing on my phone, rather quickly too. I 'ushure' you I can spell 'uthority' correctly. Ha!
Gig, I missed the wink... I'll have to watch it again. Great video though... I love watching evil being put in it's place.

The deputy handled the situation beautifully and his sheriff should be proud of him.
The transit authority representative should be sharply reprimanded, put back in his cage, and counseled to run for sergeant at arms at a local fraternal lodge so he could satisfy his thirst for tyrannical authority without abridging the rights of those who don't consent to be abused.

Fantastic job well done by the deputy
I'm curious if anyone knows enough about New York law to discuss when/whether trespass would come into play? I'm assuming this is a public facility, so it wouldn't - but kept expecting that point to come up in video.
Also how does "transit authority" work in New York state? I see/ hear all the time about NYC Port Authority, which seems to be a de-facto additional layer of police in NYC. How would this same scenario play out at Kennedy or LaGuardia, and why the difference, if any?

From what I recall as a "yute" growing up in NYC is that the Port Authority Police handle the ports, bridges, tunnels, and airports, and the Transit Authority Police handle the rail systems (subway, LIRR). I'm sure there is some overlap perhaps, and also I could be wrong.

Once again, there is no "Transit Authority" in Albany County, I had the misfortune of growing up there and even know the bully. Albany County owns the airport, and he is a civil service employee of Albany County, nothing more, and he is not even the top of the food chain.
