I bet there are dozens of people with gardens on this forum. I'd love to see folks just tell us what they grow in their gardens.

Jalapenos, tomatoes, grapes, and I'm thinking of planting a citrus tree.

Gardener checking in here. I garden every kind, ornamental and edible. Love it.

I got the pepper bug last spring.

2 Bells, 4 Bhut Jolokia, 3 hungarian wax, and a chinese ornamental. I started them all inside and tried to put them outside, but between the heat and the wind, I pulled them all back inside for their protection. They ALL flowered and put out fruit, and are STILL putting out peppers despite the limited sun light.

I LOVE the spicy bhuts.

I've got some indoor basil going as well.

This spring I'm going to try outdoor growing again, and add some maters' and garlic to the mix....and maybe some onions too.

We seem to be producing weeds and oak leaves lately. But normally, we have a nicely landscaped yard with a lot of different plant varieties which we had done after we bought the house.

Ive currently got black seeded simpson lettuce, pak choy, spinache, and onions growing for my winter garden.

This will be my first year doing it, and we're jumping in head first. We built out two 12'x5' raised beds, a 1'x3' bean box with wire trellis, and plan on using a few other containers. Plan is for tomatoes, jalapenos, habaneros, an assortment of lettuces, beans, cucumbers, etc.

I am also looking in to some fruit trees. Being Zone 8a, I am somewhat limited, but there are some good choices. We'll probably plan two each of Apple, Peach, and possibly Persimmon. We're also going to go with a few berry options too...likely blueberry and a blackberry.

Having an acre lot makes it much easier, but we lose our front yard for edible landscaping as we're overrun with deer. Might just go with a few herb / spice bushes that are deer resistant. Mint, Oregano, Thyme, etc.

I'm a box gardener, I've got several in the spring. In winter I stick to various lettuce types (romane, black seed, red leaf), bell peppers, jalapeños, radishes, and greens.

One thing to take into consideration with Apples (and maybe others) is they need a pollenator. TAMU has some great resources.

We are moving to a 4 acre place and are looking forward to putting in a big garden, small orchard, and some grapes and berries. I'm absolutely positive I will bite off way too much but I love eating what I raise.
