Hi,New guy here. I took my class last Saturday and I was in no real hurry to complete paperwork but after the unfortunate even today in Connecticut I figured I better make this happen ASAP.Although I have a checklist I still have a few questions.
1. Here on the forum I have seen post stating to mail in the fast receipt,However my check list only says for me to get my fingerprints completed using the fast system.Should I actually mail the receipt showing I paid the 10.43? Hate to be rejected as I know how picky some of these agencies can be..
2,Do I actually need to get passport photos? My instructor assures me I can sign the chl-6 form and write on it(use my drivers license photo) I assume he knows but i would rather have another opinion.
3.I plan on making a copy of the barcode with the number below and keep it for my fingerprint appointment and use the other cop to mail or email into the dps.
4 would it be alright to send in the paperwork this weekend although i do not have my finger print appointment until Tuesday? This is why i made a copy of the barcode
If all this is good I simply need to send in the chl-6,chl-100,military discharge paperwork,aqnd barcode checklist?

By the way I realize my answers are probably here if i dig in, But due to the school shooting today i spent all afternoon getting this application together and I am hoping to send this into the DPS Saturday,So yea I am in a fast mode on this license.I assume gun sales will go up and my chl instructor this evening says he received alot of calls for the class just today.
Also someone posted that if i am doing paperwork i can not schedule fingerprints until after the dps has received my paperwork but today when i registered with DPS it took me straight to the l1 enrollment to schedule my fingerprinting,,Thanks for your help.

No, they don't need your receipt or your FAST pass. Both of those are for you to keep.

Yes, you can do that.

You dont need your barcode for your fingerprint appointment. You need the FAST pass and your driver's license.
