I think we all know that China is growing at a staggering rate, but check out the latest import from the far east!

ICE! is hand carved by 40 artisans from Harbin China
Fairpark Chinese Lantern Festival

where a team of more than 40 arrived from China to construct the majority of the exhibits on-site.
Very, very interesting.

Took the family to ICE. Enjoyed it very much. The kids had a lot of fun.

Actually, this has been going on at the Gaylords across the country for several years. They have a new theme every year.
The crystal colored Nativity was spectacular two years ago when they did Charlie Brown. The workmanship is really impressive.
That room is so darned cold that even with heavy boots on, my feet about froze fast.

And for anyone planning to go, remember Jan 6 is the last day (hopefully I can keep my wife well enough so that we can go when the weather warms up just a bit). Supposed to be a most-excellent experience!
