Ed Schultz must think Soldiers have to sleep with their guns. I think he has seen Full Metal Jacket too many times

A military base, as a Federal installation, is a no go zone for legal concealed carry holders.

In other words, once again, a crime was committed in a "gun free" zone. No one on a US military base is normally armed except for the military police.

And we all know how "effective" the police are at protecting us from crime.

Nobody on base is allowed to be carrying their guns unless they are MPs. So there were lots of guns but they were all locked up.

This guy obviously has no Military-experience.

All weapons are kept in the Armory. You have to check them out. You don't just do it on a whim.

If you are checking it out for drill (marching around and stuff), you don't get issued ammo.

If you do get issued ammo you must be assigned to the Range for qualification.

The odds against any particular Military-member carrying around a loaded weapon on a Military base are generally poor. There are always exceptions, but this is the norm. (This does not apply to a Combat-zone).

How about the Israel style setup where the parents, not the government handle school security? My, my what a scary thought. The entire foundation of the power grabbers is shaken with the mere mention of the idea. Quick: stamp that out before someone sees it.
