Just an observation

I see this quite a bit, and it always makes me
(paraphrasing here...)
"Gun for sale! Like new condition! Shot only 20 times and it was my every day carry for two years!"
Really? You only shot your weapon 20 / 50 / 100 / "other low round count" times and it was your every day carry? How can someone, anyone, in their right mind trust a weapon they fired so little? I'm sure the # varies, but man...I need to see a few hundred before I even consider it ready for EDC. I laugh when I see the ads like this, but then it makes me wonder...
Anyways...back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Seems to be more common then not... one of the other sites I frequent was having a discussion similar to this the other day about people that make claims about reliability of their <insert pistol here>.
I fired 100 rounds and no issue, this pistol is totally reliable!
The general consensuses was... given that some modern platforms have been have been going 25,000-35,000 rounds between *any* failure anything less then 500-1000 consecutive rounds without an issue should be considered unreliable.

When I took my first CHL class, there was a person there qualifying with a 357 mag revolver that
he hadn't shot in years.
Maybe it comes with being a "firearms enthusiast" but I can't imagine that. I actually 'practiced' with my
gun before taking the class.

I also never understood why buyers care about "low round counts". If someone told me they had 3,000-4,000 rounds through their pistol, I wouldn't think twice about it.

I "routinely" carried my PPS without breaking it in, but only because I hadn't had a chance to take it to the range yet. Days, weeks, and maybe even a
small # of months, I get, but
years? I wouldn't be that trusting even with a Glock (before they had their Gen4 issues).
