Stolen CHL

Im sure this question has been asked and answered a dozen times but i just couldnt seem to find the exact answer i was looking for.
My wallet was stolen today(christmas eve) and of course my CHL was in there.
I have already reported it stolen via the website txdps.gov and paid the $27 fee for reporting a lost CHL. But it doesnt say what i need to do next. By reporting it stolen and paying the fee are there any more steps i need to do to get my new CHL mailed to me or is everything done and i just now need to wait for my new one to come in the mail?
i did print out the sheet after i paid and it has a barcode on it like when i applied originally for my CHL. Do i need to take any further steps or will they just mail my new CHL out to me after the holidays?
Thanks in advance and sorry for a question im sure has been answered before. If it has then please point me to the proper thread. Ive also googled and couldnt find the exact answer i was looking for as well.

Where was your gun when your wallet was stolen?

on my person. i was at a gas station and for whatever reason the pump wouldnt read my credit card, it kept telling me to see the cashier. Stupidly i left my wallet sitting on my driver seat and i shut the door but didnt lock it so i could walk in and get the pump turned on so i could pump my gas. When i came out someone had opened my door and wallet was gone. I reported it to the police and its now 3 hours later and they still havnt called me back to open a report. The gas station wouldnt let me see the video footage without a police officer present or a police report.
i just need to know if i have done all the proper steps to receive my new CHL. Like i said it told me i reported it stolen when i paid the $27 fee but it didnt say what the fee included. Meaning, did i only report it stolen and now i need to take another step to get my new one or by reporting it stolen and paying the $27 fee are they automatically going to send me a new one?

Sorry to hear. If you're up to it, and maybe with a friend or two, walk around the area and look in bushes and storm drains to see if you can see it. Maybe it was a person looking for a quick buck to buy some beer or cigarettes at the same gas station and they discarded the wallet after grabbing the cash.
EDIT: and if you do find it, carefully place it in a plastic bag in case you get an officer who is willing to dust it for prints.

thats exactly what i did, i had the gas station attendant help me look through the trash cans, the bushes, all around the outskirts of the building, etc. I thought maybe they grabbed the cash and ditched the rest but i couldnt find it any where.
all my stuff has since been reported stolen, credit cards, debit card, reported my SS to TransUnion since there was a copy of my SS card in there. Of course since its christmas eve all government buildings are closed so i could only do so much until Wednesday. I also had $200 that was about to deposit right across the street at my bank after i filled up with gas. Im getting married January 5th and that was supposed to pay for the alterations on my fiancees dress but now i gotta figure out where to pull that $200 out of my butt from..lol
i just need to know if there are any more steps other then reporting my CHL stolen on the website and paying the $27 fee. Are they going to send me another one in the mail or is there more steps i need to do in order to get my new CHL mailed to me? I already feel naked not being able to carry my weapon outside my home or car.
Thanks

DPS will mail you a new CHL. It is the same as reporting your DL lost or stolen and getting a replacement, except more expensive for the CHL plastic even though they are manufactured by the same process.
The thief is on my list.

If your wallet was stolen make sure you immediately stop all credit cards. The first thing the suspects do is go get gas, since they have your zip code. If you end up suffering id theft, the FTC has a form to fill out. This is merely done to track stats, but there is so much, more resources are needed. In addition, if you had your SSN in your wallet, I would go to one of the credit bureaus, experian is easiest and do a 90 day free fraud alert. They will automatically notify the other bureaus. Then in a bit check your credit for inquiries. A local theft report with the agency that had jurisdiction is good as well. Some places do these reports online if you have no suspect info.
I am not stating you do anything to violate any policy. Technically you still have a CHL. You ust can't prove it. A LEO can run your driver's license and verify it.

Remember you can not carry until you have the new license in your hand.
