Understanding the Big Picture

The recent budget fight over the manufactured "fiscal cliff" crisis is only a distraction, and the subsequent fights to follow will be too.
If you are puzzled by the fiscal irresponsibility and lawlessness you're seeing from our top federal officials, you might find a plan hatched by two leftist professors in the 1960's and which is eerily similar to the framework for much of the democratic party's agenda ever since to be of interest. It's called the Cloward - Piven Strategy.
After reviewing it, you may even conclude, as some have, that Obama's actions, the Occupy movement, Clinton's Motor Voter Act, ACORN, voter fraud, packing the welfare and food stamp rolls, and many other things are not unrelated.

How do you combat that?

The Federal bank is now running the show and funding both the government and intervening in the market QE 1..4 and by passing the congress. However, since interest rates are at historical law, the Feds can keep producing virtual money and lining up its accounts.

Too many folks think what we're seeing is amateur hour incompetence instead of a carefully prepared and executed plan.
IMHO, shining the light of truth on it at every opportunity is the only viable cure.

You nailed it Excaliber. Those who think that this is all a comedy of errors will be shocked once the curtain drops and the true nature of the plan is revealed.

This is the end result of the 60's counter culture and removing firearms from the individuals ownership is also a major part of their plan. I hope you folks understand that the Constitution and BOR is under attack and its eventual watering down and removal is their goal.
When the financial collapse comes and you have no guns you will be easily led to where ever their new totalitarian state will want to take you. The Founding Fathers were so wise and now this coming 2nd amendment fight is going to be very important, sadly the present leadership in Congress is weak.
Wish Gov. Perry would make some form of statement to preempt Feinsteins gun grab. I have written to my Congresswoman but hold out little hope that the Republicans will stand firm and will give in to some compromise where none is requred, Mr.O is no fool and is as cunning as a fox and was well tutored by his mentors

Where THEY want you is hanging on the wire fence in a camp, starving to death...or kneeling on the edge of a excavated pit with your hands bound behind your back until the next bullyboy can make it down the line to you...the Nazis did it and the Communists did it many times over...other dictators have done similar things on a smaller scale in South America, for instance. And they always accomplish this against an un-armed citizenry. The biggest problem stopping it from ever getting to that point is to figure out who the real enemies are versus the mere "useful idiots".

The night before last, I registered three new domain names: HeritageAndVirtue.com, HeritageAlmanac.com, and FoundingVirtues.com. HeritageAndVirtue.com is the primary domain, and the other two are aliased to it. I began development of the site yesterday. Here is a preliminary "mind map" I created in NovaMind5 of how I am seeing organized (but I am open to suggestions):
But the whole purpose of the site is to reeducate Americans in our
traditional heritage, virtues, values, and skills. My ultimate goal: If the current culture ended tomorrow, the information on the site would give people a philosophical and practical skills head-start to rebuilding the nation. I know it sounds grandiose and ambitious, and it goes without saying that I can never hope to include ALL knowledge or ALL wisdom. But, I do have the more modest goal of getting people to start thinking about these things
today. Maybe it will help in some small way to make the culture change course, or at least to get people to thinking about how perverse the culture has become. It in no way resembles the culture that the Founders knew, there are tons of quotes from the Founders telling us beyond any kind of doubt that they understood our Constitution would only work if we remained a moral and virtuous people. George Washington's election as our first President and his recognition as the "father of our nation" are directly due to the fact that his contemporaries viewed him as a tower of virtue and integrity. How many presidents since then have risen to his standards?
At some point, I will be soliciting written contributions from people who have knowledge or skills that I do not possess or have access to, and I will give those individuals publishing rights to the site. I also plan to do some things in interview format, for those who have something to contribute, but who don't want to or who are unable to write their thoughts down.
Anyway, prior to having read Excaliber's link in the OP, I had already come to the conclusion that the bastardization of our politics is a deliberate and organized effort by leftists, and that educating people, and in the process shining a light on leftist evil for what it is, is the only way to combat it.

What I find stunning is that this isn't readily apparent to most intelligent people. I think it comes down to normalcy bias and normal people willing to credit other people they don't know as normal people until proven otherwise...IOW, these criminals have exploited the political largesse bestowed by decent people extending them the benefit of the doubt.

Excellent reading, and a clear reminder that tyrants always try to seize arms before they subjugate a populace because an armed and trained populace can't be subjugated.
Folks need to give serious thought to that.
