If politicians were actually interested in solving problems, they would study the facts and address those things that have the greatest chance of impacting the outcome. Their insatiable lust for gun control has nothing to do with facts and everything to do with tyrannical oppression.

They pushed gun control in the South 150 years ago to disarm Negroes. Democrats pushed gun control in New York 100 years ago to disarm Jews and Italians, and other non WASPy types. It has always been about prejudice and oppression, no different than the samurai disarming Okinawan peasants.
