Recently there's been posts regarding firearm trusts, NFA requirements, and potential restrictions on transfers. Figured this was germane to those discussions.

The original story also contains a link to view the proposed rule change. The article was published 21 hours ago; the proposed rule change is dated 07/00/2013, although I'm not exactly sure what that means.

This is a horrible idea, yet another aspect of the Obamination.

The 07/00/2013 date means they intend to file the NPRM next July. Once we fight the current battle in front of us, we will also need to get our representatives and the NRA engaged in fighting this.

Where did this rumor originate? I question both it's validity and the rumor monger's legal education. For example, a LLC has members but trusts do not have members.

Checkout the first post for the link. The proposed change is on the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs', a section of the executive branch, website. That is the language in the abstract, #2, says "each responsible person of a corporation, trust or legal entity..." The blog post rephrases that as two separate bullet points and states "each member of a trust..."
