This is one of the best interviews he's had on his show.
Ben Shapiro vs. Piers Morgan

I wish I could insert one correction...
Q: Why do you disagree with Ronald Reagan?
A: Because I have the benefit of 10-years worth of data that shows me conclusively that an AWB does nothing to save lives.
Otherwise. BRAVO Mr. Shapiro.!

That kid is sharp! He is a good ambassador of the 2nd amendment. The only criticism I would offer would be to his response to Piers's question about the "need" for anyone to own "assault weapons". My criticism wouldn't be about what he said, because I thought his answer was fine, but I would've liked him to address the that fundamental rights are beyond simple questions, such as, "why do you need....". I don't know; that question just flies all over me, because it assumes the person exercising a right must justify, in another's mind, why they should be able to continue to exercise that right. If that's the case, then all rights would be under the same scrutiny.

He did great! I would have improved on a few points, but I have the benefit of sitting comfortably in my chair. That kid is sharp! I especially like the point about his grandparents not wing here because they did not foresee tyranny.

I like how he said to not throw him in with Alex Jones.

I agree..
Another "smart" answer might be...
Q: Why does a private citizen need an "Assault Rifle"?
A: Because Eric Holder seems intent on arming the Mexican drug cartels with them and I live in a border state.

Also being Jewish with relatives in Europe affected by the Nazis, this really spoke to me. While the numbers in the Jewish community are slowly changing in favor of gun ownership and the RKBA/2A, I have often found it difficult to understand why the economically-liberal/Democratic members of our community would ever support gun restrictions. We are so quick and unified to oppose any 1A infringements and yet so many are silent, or worse, when it comes to the 2A. The overwhelming majority of US Jews, even if our direct lineage immigrated to the US a century before WWII such as mine, have family or friends with family that were swept up and killed by the tyrannical, Axis-power governments. Imagine the different outcome if our people were well armed and organized: We could have halted the establishment of ghettos such as in Warsaw and other cities, prevented the wholesale shipment of Jews and other minorities to concentration camps, and precipitated an armed resistance/rebellion when machinations of the Final Solution were implemented. Tyranny doesn't need to already exist or even be visible on the distant horizon for our 2A rights to kick in; the 2A was codified in the Bill of Rights to ensure we never get that far down the path of evil.

Shapiro did great... I loved how he called Piers a bully and called him out when PM went into his bullying tirade...
I just wish he had not referred to AR-15's as assault rifles, and needed a better response for the Reagan letter... since the AWB expired, we now have a decade of crime data under the ban vs. nearly a decade of crime data without the ban. Regan didn't have the benefit of data when he endorsed that comment.
After painfully watching the "Alex Jones performance" I am glad Ben Shapiro went in, looking very professional, stating the facts and defending law-abiding gun owners...

He sure was quick to distance himself from Alex Jones. Wow, that was fun to watch
Piers starts out with "I support the 2nd amendment" then continues to attack it as he does night after night!?
Notice how the hard core leftist Piers kept dodging the left wing label?
Add this.
-
The overall rate of violent crime in the UK is about 4 times higher than it is in the United States Per 1000.
You won't find that on Piers note pad.
