Beats the heck out of hiding under desk/throwing books at gunman .... common sense says don't bring a book as a weapon to a gun fight.
It will be a show of force and a real life defense against criminals like Adam Lanza.

Ohio law is similar to Texas law, in that written permission from someone in authority and a CHL are all that is required to allow citizens to carry.

Am I correct in assuming they don't mean janitors by the term "custodians"? People in the comments below the article seem to think so. LOL. I am assuming it is meant as whoever is in charge of the children. The definition is as follows:

cus·to·di·an (k-std-n)
n.
1. One that has charge of something; a caretaker: the custodian of a minor child's estate; the custodian of an absentee landlord's property.
2. A janitor: worked nights as custodian of a high school.
