Just received this email from Midway USA. Trying times my friends. Do NOT let your guard down.

We have been holding some products for you, waiting for other items to arrive so
we could ship your order complete. However, we believe an Executive Order could
be released any day prohibiting the sale of certain products such as
high-capacity magazines and AR-15 parts and accessories. Therefore we have done
a partial release of your backorders to ensure that any of these items and other
items we had in inventory waiting to ship complete are all on their way, in case
such an Order is forthcoming. You will receive a shipping notification shortly.
Other items on backorder, that we have not yet received, are not affected by
this partial release.

We appreciate your understanding and your business. We always put Customer
Satisfaction first and believe this action is in the very best interest of our
Customers.

Sincerely,

MidwayUSA Customer Service

I am hoping that there will be mass disobedience of this forthcoming edict.

I'd file that under "O" for "Overabundance of caution".
or... maybe.. "B" for "Better safe than sorry".
or... maybe.. "L" for turning "Lemons into Lemonade"
I'd wager that cash flow is an issue for shops waiting with no end in sight for distributors to re-supply them. Better to spend a bit extra on freight and be able to charge your customers' credit card for the bits actually shipped than to sit around waiting for $100 worth of magazines to finish a $500 order of otherwise in-stock goods.

Any way you file it, I approve of the move. :thumbs2:

It's also shelf space. Those allocated items take up space and I'm sure they are ordering way more than they ever have before on certain items.

It might be RoyGbiv - but my the items I am having shipped would be directly affected by a magazine capacity limiting edict...

I dont know if it is all parts or not...

IF an EO is issued, a lawsuit will follow immediately. Then the courts will suspend the EO while they sort out the legal issues. That will take months, possibly years. Meanwhile, it will be business as usual.
