White House now requires ‘We the People’ petitions to have 100,000 signatures for official response
http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/16/white ... -response/
President Barack Obama’s deputies have quadrupled the number of signatures that petitioners on the administration’s “We the People” website must collect to get an official response from the White House, following a series of popular, provocative and disrespectful signature drives by his critics.
Some of the petitions sought approval for states to secede after Obama’s re-election, while others called on the White House to disavow executive orders that restrict gun rights, or to deport CNN’s British-born, progressive host Piers Morgan.
I guess the most divisive president in history is going to unite us more better by ignoring us a little harder.

Those "We the People" petitions were bunk anyway. All you have to do is put your crazy idea down & share it on Facebook and/or Twitter & you've got a million "signatures" in a few minutes. Just another time-waster.

The Texas succession petition still passed that new threshold. Hahaha.
I love all of the petitions that make a mockery of his ridiculous feel-good feedback system.

This should lay to rest any lingering doubt that we are but "subjects" to this emperor and his administration. We to work hard, pay taxes and otherwise not be seen or heard . . . unless he needs to use some children as a shield.

Of course they're bunk. But I just think it is hilarious that "the most approachable and transparent administration in history" prefers lip service to actually being approachable and transparent. I've refused to sign any of those petitions because you have to sign up for an account with the White House to even sign somebody else's petition. I'm not giving them any more information about myself than required by the IRS. Obama is the kind of man who might make those who DID give him their information come to regret that indiscretion down the road.

Or welcome it. Depends on what happens.
Once on one list does it matter how many more you are on?
To paraphrase a different quote from somewhere "You get eliminated once you are on the first list. Making it onto more lists can't make you any more eliminated."
