I've seen this video a couple of times before, as I'm sure most of you have. It deconstructs Piers' stupid 35 homicides in UK argument. Tonight, I just happened to see it again for some reason, and a stat caught my eye that I had previously missed. Starting at the 1:23 mark: http://youtu.be/tRJ0ls_W9XM?t=1m23s The number of civilian justifiable homicides, according to the FBI, is almost two thirds (65%) as high as that of Law Enforcement, meaning, that it is a reasonable argument to allow civilians to be armed with the same guns, ammo, mag capacity, etc., as law enforcement for our own protection. I would have guessed that statistic a lot lower. When we don't have documented stats on how many crimes are prevented, its nice to see something like this.

Even in NY, they will amend the mag capacity ban to allow for LEO to carry.

I know we all are on the same page as far as the stupidity of this ban, but doesn't this give more ammunition to the argument? (sorry, I couldn't help it!) And if police need more ammunition and appropriate weapons to defend themselves, as even NY lawmakers will concede, then statistically speaking (that 65% number!) don't civilians deserve that same right?
