At least you guys waiting for Texas permits get PINs and a website to check.

I'm on day 55 of waiting for my Florida non-res permit.

it is http://www.texasonline.com.
How come Florida doesnt have a state run website? At least they should make one with all the tax money they get . Florida is one rich state.

I was also born out of the country and became a naturalized citizen in 1960.

I sent a copy of my citizenship certificate with my application after reading of other people being asked for one on this forum.

This seems to be an undocumented requirement that needs to be added to the application forms packet, much like the copy of PCS form for military applicants requesting the lower military rate.

No, it didn't delay anything. In my case, the only delay was a mistake on my part..I didn't sign one of the application pages. This resulted in about one week's extra processing time.

I received my CHL permit in exactly 45 days mailbox-to-mailbox.

I was born in Japan. I put a copy of my EXPIRED pass port in the packet, and they accepted it. hey, maybe that's why it took 90 days. Good luck.

I am a US citizen, but was born in the Philippines. I was told by my CHL instructor that I needed to send in a copy my Certificate of Birth Abroad with my application, which I did. It's only been 16 days since I mailed it in, so I have no status or PIN yet, but here's to hoping for a swift process!

I just checked the online and sure is , Application completed, issued ... That s pretty quick huh. Received in Austin in Feb 24, Pin in March 20 then approved April 3. I bet in 3 days its in the mail.
Good luck to all you guys. I will practice packing and reread the Texas Penal Code. As always to stay away from trouble from all cost.
Oh maybe stopped in Academy for more practice ammo . God bless Texas . God protec t me and my family from evil men.

I just bought two leather belts at Cavender Boots here in FM 1960. they have plentyof choices if you guys are looking for a good wide belt. Prices vary .
If you are eyeing on those expensive ones from popular gun holster makers it may take awhile. Cavenders is local , trying not to sound as their salesperson.
