After weeks of checking I've finally received my update! 
I whooped and hollered so loud I scared the dogs.
Timeline so far:
28 Dec 2012: Completed Course
03 Jan 2013: Mailed packet
25 Jan 2013: Background Under Review
After looking at many other threads here I was expecting to wait another week or so, but this is fantastic!
